Community Quilt for Welland Hospital Dialysis Unit
Do you love making Granny Squares, but don’t know what to do with them? Or maybe you'd like to learn how to make fun new designs? Well, you're in luck!
Participate in our Community Quilt Project, running from January 15 to March 15th. Simply bring in your 5" x 5" granny squares to add to our community-made quilt to any branch. When completed, the finished Granny Square Quilt will be donated to the Dialysis Unit at Welland Hospital, as a heartfelt gift from our community—stitching together comfort, colour, and care.

Great Backyard Bird Count
Every year bird enthusiasts around the world take part in the three-day event counting birds to help create a real-time snap shot of how many birds are where.
Come hang out in the children's area for at least 15 minutes between February 13-15, watch for birds on our patio and record your sightings on our tally sheet. At the end of the event, we will submit the numbers as part of the Great Back Yard Bird Count!

Family Day in West Lincoln
The Township of West Lincoln is bringing fun for the whole family at its annual free Family Day event on Monday, February 16, held at the West Lincoln Community Centre, 177 West Street, in Smithville.
The day’s festivities will kick off with the West Lincoln Firefighters’ Pancake Breakfast, from 8:30 to 11 a.m. (or until all pancakes are eaten). Optional cash donations will be accepted in support of the West Lincoln Firefighters' Association.
Entertainment and activities will include:
Face painting
Airbrush tattoos
Caricature artists
Lincoln Leapers show
Family dance party
Free public skating
West Lincoln Youth Soccer Activities
Smithville Floor Hockey & Smithville NFL Flag Football

Myths and Legends of the Battle of Queenston Heights
Amanda Gamble has worked for the Friends of Fort George since 2010, and has been the Executive Director sine 2015, overseeing the staff and interpretive programming at Brock’s Monument for 11 years. Amanda’s talk will take an in-depth look into the Battle of Queenston Heights and delve into some of the common myths and misconceptions that surround the infamous battle that are discussed regularly at Brock’s Monument.

Seollal Showcase: Korean Lunar New Year
Seollal is the Korean Lunar New Year, a traditional holiday that celebrates family, cultural heritage, and the welcoming of a new year. This all-ages showcase with the Korean Cultural Centre in Niagara invites visitors to experience Korean culture through hands-on activities such as wearing Hanbok, traditional games and paper folding, and popular culture experiences inspired by Squid Game and K-Pop Demon Hunters.

Beamer Memorial Conservation Area in Winter
Come out and explore the forests of Beamer Memorial Conservation Area on a guided winter hike with naturalist Bruce Mackenzie. We will be looking at aspects of winter ecology and tree identification. This mature Carolinian forest provides us with a wonderful outdoor living museum in our own backyard.
The Niagara Peninsula Conservation Association is currently working on a new Master Plan for the area and the forest is a critical part of the landscape here.
Please join us and experience what it is all about. We will be staying on the relatively flat ground at the top of Beamer. Wear suitable footwear and clothing for the weather.

St. Catharines Rotary Winter Trivia Night
Evening includes 7 rounds of questions (six of 15 and a final round of 10). Total of 100 questions over the night.
Doors open at 6:00 p.m. Questions start at 7:00 p.m. sharp. Questions cover general knowledge categories like science, history, sports, music, geography, local facts and more.
Cash Bar. Drinks will be available for purchase including wine, beer, pop and mixed drinks. Sorry NO outside drinks.
During the evening we provide FREE hot dogs, popcorn, water, tea and coffee. You are welcome to bring your own food to compliment these items.
