  • Season of Hope at Village of Hope Niagara

    Village of Hope Niagara has begun our Season of Hope campaign, working desperately through the coming weeks before the holidays, to see that our neighbours in need have what is necessary to see them through the Season of Hope, a hamper of food for a festive dinner with their children, or partners, – gifts, and most importantly, hope. Sponsorship levels of Family $250, Senior $100, or Child $50 (or other donations) enable us to share this care with our Lincoln neighbours in need

  • St. Catharines Farmers Market

    Since the early 1860s, the market has been a vibrant scene that offers fresh foods and handmade items from the local area. Visitors enjoy connecting and learning from the local vendors who grow and produce the meats, fruits, veggies and baked goods. It's a thrilling farm-to-table experience you don't want to miss!

    You can find all of Niagara's bounty at the market, including:

    Farm fresh produce
    Baked goods
    Pasture raised, hormone free meats including pork, chicken and beef
    Local honey and preserves
    Cured meats and cheeses
    Fresh cut flowers and plants
    One of a kind artisan products

  • St. Catharines NYE Public Skate

    Seymour-Hannah Sports and Entertainment Centre will host free public skating on New Year's Eve from 9:30 a.m. to noon on all four pads – one of which will host the popular glow-in-the-dark event complete with glow sticks, character visits and a family photo booth.

  • Peach King Arena New Years Eve Skate
    Come out for a free skate on New Years Eve at the Peach King Centre from 2:00 - 6:00 pm, sponsored by Lakemount Worship Centre and The Augustine Team.
    Free skating and fun activities throughout the afternoon including games, balloon twisting, face painting, and crafts with Creative Bug!

  • Smithville Legion New Years Party

    Join us in celebrating the New Year! Featuring Pig Out Catering from St. Catherine's and The Hammer Tones.
    Tickets include dinner, live band, late night snack and sparkling wine at midnight.
    The theme this year is Rock and Roll, so get your air guitar ready and shake out your hair. Transform into your musical hero and strut your stuff – top prize for being the rockin' star in the room!

    Registration starts at 1 pm.
    Dip is at 2 pm!
    Everyone is welcome!

    100% of all donations goes directly to McNally House Hospice in Grimsby!!

  • Annual Mitten Tree Campaign

    An annual Museum favourite, the Mitten Tree Campaign collects donations of warm winter apparel (hats, scarves, mittens, and socks) for those in need in our community. Hang your donations on the tree, or drop larger donations in the baskets. 

    In 2022-2023, the Museum collected over 1000 items!

    The campaign runs from December 22023 to January 6, 2024.

  • Gift of Art Holiday Show and Sale

    Grimsby Public Art Gallery is pleased to announce the Gift of Art Holiday Show and Sale, December 9, 2023 – January 11, 2024. The Gift of Art is an exciting opportunity to showcase the diverse talent of the region and give the gift of art this holiday season.

    Work is sold on a first come first serve basis beginning with the artist reception Saturday, December 9, 2:00-4:00pm. Providing vital support to Niagara Region’s only public art gallery through this exciting fundraising initiative, sale proceeds will be shared 50/50 between the gallery and exhibiting artists.

    Thank you for supporting Grimsby Public Art Gallery and helping us to deliver high caliber programs and exhibitions for the benefit of Grimsby and the surrounding community!

    West Lincoln's annual New Year's Levee, first established by Mayor Cheryl Ganann for 2024, is held on the first Saturday of January.

    This family-friendly reception includes:

    • Free Public Skating
    • Coffee & tea
    • Timbits, Greek pastries and Oliebollen

    The Mayor’s Youth Advisory Committee will be in attendance to help serve guests.

    Join Mayor Ganann and members of Council to exchange pleasant greetings and best wishes for the new year.
