  • Hernder Estate 27th Annual Show

    Community Care is honoured to be included in this event once again!

     

    The craft show will feature a variety of local artisans and vendors offering a variety of items to shop while your stroll through the grounds of Hernder. Don’t forget to enjoy a glass of wine if you are so inclined!

    Non-perishable and monetary donations will be accepted to benefit our most vulnerable residents of Thorold and St. Catharines.

    For the fourth year in a row, the Habitat for Humanity Niagara ReStore in Grimsby is asking customers to bring in a non-perishable food item between September 25 and October 5 in exchange for a coupon for 25% off their entire purchase. Food donations collected at the store will be distributed to GBF Community Services to help stock the shelves of their food bank. 

    Items of greatest need:

  • Pie Festival - Farmers Market Takeover

    the St. Catharines Downtown Association and the Niagara Folk Arts Multicultural Centre take over the Farmers Market in a partnership with the City of St. Catharines on Thursday, October 5th at Market Square.

    The Pie Festival runs from noon to 3 p.m. and will feature sweet and savory pies from local bakers and other small businesses. $5 from each pie sale will support local charities. 

    Live on the Market Stage from 11:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. is The O'Deadly's.

    While there, why not visit the Farmers Market with over 30 local food, farmers and artisans to choose from.
