Special occasions bring additional financial strain for families experiencing hardship. Help families gather around the table to enjoy a Thanksgiving meal. GBF will be supporting 250 local households with a Thanksgiving dinner, which includes the choice of Turkey, Ham, Vegetarian Option, the fixings, and dessert. A generous donation of $100 will sponsor a family’s Thanksgiving meal. Donations can be made in-store at 40 Elm Street, or online through www.gbfgrimsby.com.

Carolynn Pietrangeli was born and raised in the Bronx, New York, and later moved to Canada to pursue her studies, eventually making it her home. She is a retired university professor of immunology, having taught at McGill University and Brock University. ​Now living in Grimsby, Carolynn draws on a lifelong fascination with memory, identity, and the complexities of the human experience in her writing.
