Special occasions bring additional financial strain for families experiencing hardship. Help families gather around the table to enjoy a Thanksgiving meal. GBF will be supporting 250 local households with a Thanksgiving dinner, which includes the choice of Turkey, Ham, Vegetarian Option, the fixings, and dessert. A generous donation of $100 will sponsor a family’s Thanksgiving meal. Donations can be made in-store at 40 Elm Street, or online through www.gbfgrimsby.com.

We’re dedicated to ensuring all Canadians with chronic kidney disease have access to quality care and essential support. Through public education, effective advocacy, and innovative research, we drive meaningful change in kidney health.

Every dollar raised powers programs and services for the 1 in 10 Canadians—about 4 million people—living with kidney disease. We encourage all participants to fundraise, as each contribution makes a life-changing difference.

Micah Lexier’s Dog Days of Ontario Culture Days is a conceptual art project exploring the ritual and culture of dogs and their humans. Dog Days of Ontario Culture Days consists of a pair of independent yet thematically linked components:

Guess Your Dog’s Age or Weight: A performance in which a “carnival guesser” attempts to accurately guess a dog’s age or weight. In exchange for a donation to a local dog charity, dog owners will receive a custom-minted coin as a memento of having participated in the project

A Portrait of The Person Making a Portrait of Your Dog: A live drawing activation where visitors receive a free sketch of their dog by a local sketch artist, while a second artist sketches the first artist at work. Dog owners get to keep their sketch, while Micah Lexier keeps the second sketch, to be included in a subsequent publication.

Donations support The Farley Foundation, a charity that helps pets across Ontario receive essential veterinary care.
