Artistry by the Lake
The Niagara-on-the-Lake Chamber of Commerce presents a juried show of over 80 artists and artisans. The show takes place in scenic Queen's Royal Park overlooking the mouth of the Niagara River and Lake Ontario.

Canada Day Celebration
Join the Friends of Fort George and Parks Canada as they celebrate Canada Day on July 1st!
The day starts with a barbecue lunch prepared and served by the Rotary Club of Niagara-on-the-Lake from 11:30 am – 3:00 pm in Simcoe Park. There will also be live music and children’s activities in the park.
At 3:00 pm, the annual Cake Parade will be led by the 41st Regiment Fife and Drum Corps and will head down Queen Street into Simcoe Park, where the cake will be distributed to the public, free of charge. Willow Cakes and Pastries has generously donated the Canada Day cake again for 2025, with the design a secret until the day of the event!
Fort George National Historic Site is open from 10:00 am to 10:00 pm on July 1st, and it’s free all day! Throughout the day, visitors to Fort George can tour the buildings, visit with costumed interpreters, enjoy a musket demonstration and more! Please note, buildings close at 5:00 pm.
There will be cold drinks and treats available from 2:00 pm – 4:00 pm inside Fort George. Food services will start at 4:00 pm. Evening entertainment starts at 6:30 pm with the kiddie militia and drill, followed by a presentation by the Fort George Infantry, and Fife and Drum Corps.
On stage will be “The Howling Horns.” An 8-piece horn band featuring music from blues to dance to classic rock. At 10:00 pm, a spectacular fireworks display will once again close the evening,

Immerse yourself in an array of engaging activities, from captivating demonstrations to informative booths, where you can discover the heart of our community. Delight in lively games and interactive experiences that bring people together in the joy of celebration.
Merritt Park 2 to 6 p.m. During the day enjoy arts and culture activities including Femme du Feu Creations circus acts, freestyle soccer performers, local community groups, interactive games and food trucks.
Merritt Park Amphitheatre 6 p.m. Enjoy the music of Figure Four with guests Jonesy. Special guests Amanda Lyn Parker and Mage.
Fireworks to follow at 10 p.m.

Lakeside Long Weekend
Join us for a spectacular Lakeside Long Weekend celebration at Lakeside Park on Monday, June 30 and Canada Day, Tuesday, July 1.
Presented in partnership with Cicada Music and Arts Festival with support from Heritage Canada and Experience Ontario, this free, two-day waterfront festival brings together live music, art, family fun, and community spirit.
New this year: St. Catharines proudly joins the national Canada Day Drumming initiative. At 2:30 p.m. on July 1, cities from across the country will unite in a powerful six-minute drumming celebration of diversity, peace, and unity.
Lakeside Long Weekenders will also enjoy:
- A collaborative community art project with Willow Arts Community, contributing to the City’s public art collection
- A live painting
- Life-sized LEGO lounge
- Super-sized inflatable family games
- Fire Prevention Services educational activities
- Fireworks display over Lake Ontario (10 p.m. on July 1)
- Local food trucks and craft beverages
Funds raised will support Pathstone Mental Health and the Niagara Regional Native Centre Community pantry.
Admission is free, and all are welcome. Join us at the lake for a weekend full of music, creativity, great food and celebration.
