  • Drop-in March Break Fun @ The Museum

    Looking for a fun and creative way to spend March Break? Join us daily from 10 a.m. - 4p.m. for Historic Building Tours, hands-on crafts, and a chance to explore our new exhibits!

    Stay for a while and make something special to take home.

    Saturday, March 8: Pine Cone Creatures – Felt, googly eyes, feathers & lots of pinecones!
    Sunday, March 9: Nature Buttons – Create wearable art inspired by nature.
    Monday, March 10: CLOSED
    Tuesday, March 11: Tin Punching  – Try this traditional decorative craft. 
    Wednesday, March 12: Wooden Peg Family People – Design your own little figures.
    Thursday, March 13: Spring is Coming! – Outdoor scavenger hunt & nature collage.
    Friday, March 14: Nature Bookmarks – Design & laminate your own.
    Saturday, March 15: Tissue Paper Blossoms – Celebrate the beauty of spring!
    Sunday, March 16: Save Our World! – Poster-making for Earth Hour (March 22).

  • Me and My Gal(s): Market and Mini Food Fest

    Get ready to shop till you drop, eat till you pop, and party till you can't stop at our Second Annual Me and My Gal(s) event! It's going to be a day filled with laughter, love, and lots of girl power. Bring your besties, your mom, your sisters, and your favorite gals for a day of fun and festivities.

    With over 80 local vendors, delicious food trucks, live music, surprise gifts, workshops, and more, there's something for everyone to enjoy. And don't forget to save room for our ticketed dinner event, where you can eat, sip, and mingle with your gal pals in style.

  • A Monumental March Break

    See the past come to life during a visit to Battlefield House Museum this March Break and engage in fun and fascinating hands-on activities for the whole family. Dress up in early 19th century clothing, make a craft to take home, or try your hand at the game of skittles before or after your guided tour of the Gage home.

  • Art & Conversation with Rodman Art Institute of Niagara

    Join us for a Collection Conversation at the St. Catharines Public Library Central Branch. Rodman Art Institute of Niagara’s Gallery Manager will guide you through a lecture of selected highlights from RAiN’s 1000 piece permanent collection. This lecture will offer insights into their cultural context and significance within our gallery. 

    The lecture will end with a Q&A period where participants will be able to ask questions about any of the works of art in the collection, or broader questions about Rodman Art Institute of Niagara. Following the lecture and Q&A, participants will be guided through an art making activity. 

    This lecture is designed for art enthusiasts, students, and anyone curious about the stories behind our collection. Open to all ages; recommended for ages 6+, children must be accompanied by an adult.

    Niagara old growth forests are facing new threats from the Hemlock Woolly Adelgid insect and Oak Wilt Fungus, learn what you can do to limit the spread and help the trees by coming to this short presentation given by Master Gardener Aleksia Shoalts.

    Join the Grimsby Historical as they host an Open House "WWII Medals Explained: What They Mean and Why They Matter".  Guest Speaker and Consultant - military and civilian medal expert Mike LaCombe.  

    Bring in your family medals and learn about the significance and meaning of each medal in a one-one consultation.
