March Break at the Museum
This March Break, we are exploring the History of Food. Get ready for a fun and educational experience with a variety of exciting daily hands-on activities for all ages!
Discover the fascinating discoveries that have transformed the way we eat in our Great Canadian Food Lab demonstrations! From the making of maple syrup to why bread rises, you’ll gain a whole new appreciation for the history of food in our community.
Best for kids aged 6-12 accompanied by an adult. All activities are available to the public by donation. No registration required.

Tea Like the Queen: A Children’s Tea Party!
You are cordially invited to join the Friends of Fort George for a special tea party over the March Break. Grab your favourite stuffy, and join us for a spot of tea, and delicious treats, just like the Queen! The afternoon will include a special story, a stuffy parade, and fun activities for children and their guardians.
Tickets include tea or juice, locally sourced scones, and some tasty treats from the 'Fort George Bill of Fare' cookbook.
Note: Children must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.
