  • Pay-What-You-Can Furniture Yard Sale
    Everyone is invited to come on out to support the Gateway Furniture Bank at this exciting new fundraising event!
    The yard sale will be happening in the parking lot at 178 King St on Saturday July 13th and will include the sale of discounted furniture items our committee has not been able to match with clients as well as freezies and refreshments!
    All furniture items will be sold on a ‘Pay-What-You-Can’ basis! Any items left over will be going to the landfill.
    Monetary donations are greatly appreciated to help support Gateway Furniture Bank costs such as transportation, storage facilities, U-Haul rentals, etc.
    Come on out for a fun day in the sun!

  • Community Day at the YMCA

    Join us at the Niagara West YMCA on July 13th for Community Day at the YMCA! We're opening our doors wide for a day filled with family fun and community connection. Enjoy mini fitness and wellness sessions throughout the day, perfect for all ages and fitness levels.

    Treat yourself to delicious offerings from a variety of food trucks and explore unique creations from local artisans. Our special guests, Therapy Tails, will be there to provide some furry fun and relaxation. Plus, connect with our wonderful Grimsby Community friends, including the Library and Art Gallery, for even more engaging activities.

  • Cucumber Pickling Workshop

    Who doesn’t have fun with fermentation? Join Marcia Christie and Randan Redekop to learn all you need to know about pickling cucumbers. Participants will receive a take-home guide to follow at home!

  • Open Door Day at the Brown Homestead

    Explore the site of the oldest home in St. Catharines with interactive tours, learn about heritage conservation with live demos, participate in hands-on crafts and activities with various community vendors, and enjoy ice cream as you discover our plans to adaptively reuse our 1850s Dairy into an ice cream shop.

    Open Door Days are open to the public by donation. Your donations go towards future programming and special events, as well as our ongoing restoration work.
