Hamilton Wetlands Presentation
Hamilton, the industrial heart of Canada, is a super place to see all of our major wetland types from swamps to marshes, and a bog and a fen. From the immense Beverly Swamp in Flamborough to our newest beaver ponds in Winona the variety provides us with a myriad of stories. Bruce Mackenzie will wade us through the differences between the major wetland types, their significance and their flora and fauna. Some of Hamilton’s wetlands are relatively new, some are gone but some of them were born when the glaciers left.
